- Joseph Udimal Kachim (joseph.kachim{at}ucc.edu.gh) is a Lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is also an Associate Fellow of the International Studies Group (ISG) at the University of the Free State in South Africa, where he pursued his doctoral studies. His research interests include mobility, belonging, and colonial state-making in West Africa. Currently, he is working on his book manuscript, Becoming Settlers, which examines Konkomba mobility and the contestations it generated over their belonging in Northern Ghana.
