He then discusses his early career as a curator with the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board (GMMB). His comments include references to his teachers and fellow students at KNUST as well as to other artists who played important roles in creating a visual identity for the young nation-state—artists who shaped the visual arts during the vibrant period following Ghana’s independence.
